Sep 25-27 - OFO Poker Run & Moon in the Boonies @ Flat Nasty

OK, so the threat of rain (that lasted all of a few minutes) kept most of the crowd away and the   poker run didn't happen.  BUT, we finally found the perfect format for this event.  There were ten marked checkpoints that led everyone to ten unmarked checkpoints and three bonus checkpoints for a total of 23 possible raffle tickets.  Only one group was able to find all of them and they were out running until 5:30am.  Everyone was thrilled with the scavenger hunt style and appreciated being able to run at their own pace with their own group.  We'll definitely be using the same format next Spring...

Stahlman's Powersports came through with a nice, quality set of prizes.  Pit Bull Tires also offered up a set of their new Growler tread pattern ATV tires valued at $550!  Those tires were awesome!  I can't wait to see the Rocker pattern when they come out...

Sep 4-7 - Labor Day Weekend @ Flat Nasty

Apr 4th - OFO Poker Run & Moon in the Boonies @ Flat Nasty

Man, what a ride...  This was probably the best Moon in the Boonies weekend so far!  We started off with the OFO Poker Run a little different.  The checkpoints were unmanned and there were two "wild card" locations that you had to figure out based on the clue provided.  It worked out pretty well and there were a lot more entries this time.  The payouts were $75 for the best hand (Congratulations Lou!) and $25 for the worst hand.  DJ House was there kicking some tunes out for us and the BBQ afterwards hit the spot!

Moon in the Boonies consisted of three guided trail runs more along the lines of how Flat Nasty runs their 15-Hour Nightmare event.  There were a couple of folks that preferred the checkpoint to checkpoint style, but the majority seemed to have a blast with this format.  I know all of our guides and sweeps had a blast.  We took a lot of pics, but the camera is still strapped to my quad so it may be a couple of weeks before they get posted.

Mar 14th - 15-Hour Nightmare

What a Nightmare!  I don't know exactly how many entries there were but there were well over 50 or 60.  Some of the rigs you just knew were going to make it all night didn't and some that you'd put money on to not make the first run survived then night.  Pit Bull tires put up a set of tires for the grand prize.  The fella that won those came all the way from Nebraska and had actually sold a set of tires just to get together the money for his trip down.  All in all, I think everyone had a great time.  Click HERE for the pics.  

Feb 14th - Cupid Gets Stupid Valentine's Day Run

What a great day!  For a non-event, this was a really great event!  Several of us went down and had a great time.  Happy Anniversary Steve & Sharla!

Jan 3rd - Flat Nasty Pig Roast

Flat Nasty hosted an awesome Pig Roast to thank everyone for supporting the park in 2008.  Petersen's 4 Wheel Off-road Magazine's Fred Williams was there taking photos for an article about the park.

Nov 15th - Moon in the Boonies

Given it was the opening day of rifle season and the wind chill was in the 20s, both the our first ATV Poker Run and Moon in the Boonies were a big success.

We would like to thank everyone that came out to have some fun with us despite the occasional snow flurries.  From all reports, everyone had a blast!  I know we had a blast hosting them both!  

We are looking forward to hosting the next Moon in the Boonies in early Spring... once it warms up a bit.
